MIL recently expanded its office locations, opening its Tysons Corner office in June 2017 to corporate employees. The expansion is an exciting endeavor, one that not only provides a flexible commuting option for some of our employees, but ultimately allowing for enhanced collaboration across the board due to its proximity to our customers, vendors, and teaming partners. One of the major perks? A new, sleek, modern space designed to promote a positive work environment, aligning with new trends in workspace productivity and happiness factors.
Although private offices will be provided, a key feature of this new space is the emphasis placed on collaboration spaces. Between the multiple breakout rooms and a large, open-concept kitchen, MIL is fully embracing the idea of collaborative working. Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was a fan of this concept, noting that it was environments like these that allowed for enhanced teamwork, which helps organizations keep workers happy and motivated, and ultimately retained.
According to a Business Journals’ web article detailing the top five workplace trends driving change in offices, redesigned office spaces with attention to design aesthetic make the list. It is reported that employees agreed that well-designed spaces increase their productivity, interest in work, and creativity. In this respect, great attention to detail was taken with MIL’s new office design. With an ample amount of natural light, bright interiors, as well as modern furniture and accents, we want our team to be outfitted with a well-designed workplace – both aesthetic and functional.

Additionally, the office complex provides a fitness center, daycare facilities, and a deli shop for building tenants to enjoy.
The MIL Tysons space is located at 8401 Greensboro Drive in McLean, Va. Although we will keep our landmark headquarter location in Bowie, Md., this will serve as a new hub for our Accounting, Contracts, Corporate Business Development, Human Resources, Proposals & Marketing, and Recruiting teams.
