Securing your sensitive systems
Information Assurance (IA) is as important to you as it is to MIL. Our Cybersecurity Team couples network engineering best practices with cybersecurity expertise to support, protect, and defend DoD network infrastructures, while integrating emerging technologies and implementing new and evolving IA policies. MIL has planned, developed, and implemented innovated solutions for a successful and continual Command Cyber Readiness posture and related audits for a DoD customer.
The Cybersecurity Team’s solution and associated pillar tools for managing and reporting important network data and architecture information culminated in our customer’s enterprise network successfully passing a Command Cyber Readiness Inspection.
To ensure efficient and effective operations, we stand by the DoD IA certification and accreditation process and Risk Management Framework (RMF), which makes sure risk management is applied to all U.S. DoD information systems. This process and framework defines a DoD-wide formal and standard set of activities, general tasks, best practices, and management structure for the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) or Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of DoD information systems maintaining an IA posture throughout a system’s lifecycle.
C&A/A&A is a comprehensive evaluation of an information system’s technical and non-technical security controls and safeguards to support the accreditation process. These evaluations establish the extent to which a particular design and implementation meets a set of specified security requirements. Successful evaluations culminate in a formal declaration by a senior agency official DAA or AO that an information system is approved to operate at an acceptable level of risk.
Let MIL help you with your organizational challenges surrounding IA, risk management, and certification audit support. We’re ready to secure your systems so that they are safe easy to manage.
