MIL’s health plans include medical and prescription benefits, with a variety of options. Dental and vision options are also included, in addition to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Employees are covered by MIL for Group Life Insurance, AD&D, and Group Long-Term Disability. Other insurance options are offered at the cost of the employee.

WorkLifeMatters offers help with education, dependent care & care giving, legal & financial, lifestyle & fitness management, as well as career matters. Making the most of your money
MIL offers regular full-time and part-time employees the opportunity to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. We currently match employees’ contributions at 50% up to the first 4% of contributions made on a biweekly basis. An employee is vested for the match after two (2) years of employment.
SmartBenefits is an electronic method for receiving your monthly reimbursement for parking and/or metro expenses.MIL employees working in the Washington Metropolitan Area can use this registered SmarTrip card to claim your SmartBenefits between the first and last day of each month at a Passes/Farecards machine at any Metro station. SmarTrip cards can currently be used for metrorail and metrobus travel and for parking at Metro parking lots.
MIL offers an innovative benefit to our employees called the Employee Computer Purchase Program. This benefit, available to all employees who have completed six (6) months of employment, is intended to help our employees purchase new computer systems for home use. Through this program, MIL will help to finance the purchase price of a computer system to the employee allowing the computer to be financed over thirteen (13) biweekly paychecks in equal installments through automatic payroll deductions. Once an employee has completed the repayment of the loan, he/she must wait another twelve (12) months from that payoff date to use the program again.

Growing your mind & your team
MIL offers free training to enhance current skills, promote the development of new skills and nurture professional growth. MIL Training Online (MILTON) is a free web-based training program in which employees may take as many courses as they wish in any field they choose. MIL established MILTON so employees can acquire the core competencies and skills needed to compete in this fast-changing environment. MILTON is for the student who wants to focus into specific areas of his/her professional development without the confines of school, but with an academic regimen. You may receive certifications, CPE, CEU and college credits, choosing from among the 3,600+ business and professional, IT and Desktop courses.
A $2500 bonus is offered to eligible employees for recommending candidates who are hired to fill full‐time regular positions.
