For the eighth year in a row, MIL has been certified as a Great Place to Work®, and this year we are proud to also be named one of Fortune’s 2025 Best Medium Workplaces™.
These honors mean more than recognition. They are a reflection of our people. As our team shared in this year’s survey:
- “Everyone is valued and the culture here is amazing.”
- “There is opportunity for growth, and my co-workers are always supportive.”
- “I feel that I make a difference. I am trusted and supported in my role.”
That is the essence of MIL. We do not just work together; we look out for one another.
A Culture That Connects
At MIL, community is our cornerstone. Whether we are collaborating on complex projects, volunteering for causes we care about, or celebrating milestones together, we show up for each other in meaningful ways.
That same spirit inspired our enhanced onboarding approach, which pairs each new team member with an experienced colleague who helps them navigate their first few months at MIL. This structured support ensures new hires feel welcomed, informed, and connected from day one.
These partnerships typically last between three and six months, with extra check-ins during the first month to provide additional support when it is most needed. During this time, supervisors ensure new hires receive a comprehensive introduction to MIL, covering company culture, job expectations, and contract details. To further this support, they also conduct gap assessments to determine if additional training is required.
This approach goes beyond traditional onboarding– it builds relationships. By having a dedicated colleague to turn to, new employees can ask questions freely, learn the culture more quickly, and feel part of the team sooner. Managers remain engaged throughout, helping new hires gain confidence and find their footing within MIL’s supportive environment. In fact, studies show that employees who form strong workplace connections are seven times more likely to be engaged and productive. That is why we focus on helping new hires build those relationships early; it is the foundation of long-term success and satisfaction.
Why It Matters
Our continued recognition as a Great Place to Work is not about perks or plaques. It is about people. It is about the daily acts of support, mentorship, and care that make MIL a place where everyone can thrive. By fostering connection from the start, our onboarding program strengthens the culture that earned us this recognition in the first place, a culture built on trust, teamwork, and the belief that when one of us succeeds, we all do.
