In these challenging times it is always great to hear stories of caring, support, and community. MIL Senior Procurement Manager Christine Curran and her family can personally attest to this.  On June 19th Christine’s beautiful grandson Sterling was born at 28 weeks and has been in the NICU unit at John Hopkins since. With the health of little Sterling paramount, and all that the family has to deal with to provide for him, they are extremely grateful for the wonderful care shown by the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation. Believe in Tomorrow is a non-profit organization that provides hospital and respite housing services to critically ill children and their families…at no charge. In addition to offering rooms for families whose loved ones are seeking treatment, they even provide breakfast and dinners for the families, giving them one less thing to worry about. Christine, affectionately known as “Yaya” to her family, said her daughter, son-in-law and grandson have been staying at this wonderful home in Baltimore, MD. “They have a nice room with two beds, recliner, TV, desk, etc. There is even a playroom, recreation room, and movie room in the basement. This place is wonderful! They really focus on the families so the families can focus on their loved ones.” said Christine.

MIL CARES is once again proud to support another extraordinary organization providing hope and comfort to needy families in our area.  As an Inspire Sponsor, MIL will help to provide accommodations to a family in need for 50 nights. So, we are calling all runners and walkers to sign up for the “Port to Fort 6K Run” hosted by Believe in Tomorrow! Held on October 29th, this is one of the only races that is granted access to historic Fort McHenry, which offers spectacular views of Baltimore’s harbor.

If you are interested in running/walking please email Christine Curran. The first 12 people to email Christine get a complimentary race entry!
