MIL Receives Navy Approval as an Alteration Installation Team (AIT)
Bowie, Md.—Oct. 23, 2023 — The MIL Corporation (MIL)) is proud to announce that it has been reapproved for another three years as an Alteration Installation Team (AIT), reaffirming its capability to independently perform system installations on U.S. Navy ships, submarines, and surface craft. MIL has held this designation since 2010.
“This absolutely enhances our International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification and implementation for Quality Management Systems (QMS),” said Tom Clark, MIL Executive Vice President.
“This is a valuable discriminator for MIL that shows we are prepared and qualified to perform very important and complex ship alteration work.”
The AIT designation enables the Navy to contract MIL’s experienced experts to meet the Navy’s AIT scope and requirements, taking advantage of its diversely skilled workforce and cost-effective project execution capabilities. MIL’s continued investment in its employees through Navy partnerships reinforces its commitment to modernization efforts, ensuring quality outcomes, even for the most challenging system installations.
