The Washington Post Names The MIL Corporation a 2019 Top Washington-Area Workplace
BOWIE, Md.—June 21, 2019— The MIL Corporation (MIL) has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2019 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. MIL ranks 15th in the Large Business Category. This year’s list honors more than 150 companies including government contractors, law firms, nonprofits, schools, and businesses.
The Top Workplaces selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
“Now in its sixth year, The Post’s Top Workplaces list continues to reflect companies in the region that cultivate a connection with their workforce,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. “It’s clear from the survey that these organizations share a commitment to providing support and an environment that makes employees feel valued and respected.” MIL’s employees, who provide innovative cyber, engineering, financial, and information technology services to the federal government, reported that they feel valued by their managers and that they are confident in MIL’s exceptional and efficient services. Additionally, employees feel that they are part of an excellent work environment with plenty of internal cooperation. One employee reported, “I feel engaged and connected with the company…I feel part of a work-family versus just a number at a firm.”
“Being honored as a Top Workplace in the D.C. area for the third year in a row is extremely uplifting on many levels,” said COO Marisa Daley. “Our employees are the most important asset we have at MIL – knowing that they feel taken care of, motivated, and supported professionally means we are doing something right. We work incredibly hard to ensure our employees feel supported through competitive benefits, transparent work environments, and fun perks throughout the year. These results also reveal opportunities for growth, which I look forward to implementing so that we may continue attracting top talent in the region.”
