MIL Wins Cybersecurity Contract with NAVAIR
BOWIE, Md.—Oct. 20, 2016—The MIL Corporation (MIL), a mid-sized government contractor, is pleased to announce its contract win with Naval Air System Command Cyber Warfare Division (NAVAIR CWD) under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), supporting all six service areas. MIL will complete tasks that span program initiation to cyber warfare operations and employment, ultimately aiding our nation’s warfighters.
Under the two year agreement, MIL will provide NAVAIR CWD with cybersecurity services required throughout program lifecycles, which include the initiation, operations, and employment of warfighting platforms and capabilities. The cyber services team will work to defend platforms, weapons, sensors, communications and networks, computing systems, mission systems, support equipment, logistics and maintenance systems, as well as ashore and afloat enterprise systems.
“As we look to a future of cyber-ready and resilient platforms and capabilities for the Navy, the Department of Defense, and the United States as a whole, this contract win presents an important opportunity for MIL,” said MIL COO Marisa Daley. “Once engaged, our services will rapidly sustain and protect our Navy warfighters; it is both exciting and humbling to put our technology to the test so that others can more safely defend our country.”
The six specific NAVAIR CWD BOA pools MIL will support include:
- System definition and architecture development
- Risk assessments and assessment methods
- Cyber Workforce Training
- Cyber penetration testing and penetration tool development
- Protection solutions and systems integration services
- Full spectrum operational cyber warfare support
MIL’s cyber services team provides solutions that encompass penetration testing, disaster recovery, incident response, incident handling, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability management, and computer network defense.
