MIL Federal Salesforce Practice Director to Speak at FCW Cloud Summit
John Harlow will offer opening remarks for talk on Cloud-driven Innovation
BOWIE, Md.—Aug 21, 2017— This Wednesday, FCW is hosting its 2017 Cloud Summit, offering a venue to discuss the technologies, policies, and management strategies that provide a foundation for a cloud-based government. FCW’s Cloud Summit will not only expand on topics that cover policy, technology, and management when it comes to cloud computing, but will also leave room to discuss the future of the industry and its impact on the federal government.
The MIL Corporation (MIL) will attend the Cloud Summit as an exhibitor, sponsor, and speaker. Its Federal Salesforce Practice Director, John Harlow, is set to offer opening remarks for a session on cloud-driven innovation. MIL will sponsor the afternoon government keynote titled, Cloud-driven Innovation: Transforming Federal IT Services, given by Health and Human Services Chief Technology Officer, Bruce Greenstein. Harlow’s opening remarks will provide a focus on the heightened importance of people in cloud-driven transformation.
“Due to the speed and resource shift we gain in the cloud, we now have time to allow strategic agency initiatives to drive technology instead of technology steering the agency,” said Harlow. “People are what will make the difference in this cloud-era, not technology.”
Following Harlow’s introduction, Greenstein will deliver the event’s closing keynote address. His discussion will reveal the resistance faced by federal agencies when trying to implement modernization practices, while highlighting the transformative potential of cloud-based technology.
MIL’s IT Services team includes a Salesforce Practice, led by Harlow, which focuses on maximizing customer relationship management through technology in the federal government. The Salesforce Transformation Framework used in MIL’s practice utilizes cloud-based technologies, ultimately helping agencies to modernize their tools and increase departmental efficiency for both their systems and personnel.
The Cloud Summit will take place on Aug. 23 at the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
