MIL to attend TechNet LandForce Cyber Event; focus on opportunities for cyber superiority
BOWIE, Md.—Aug. 14, 2012—Those affiliated with military and defense security forces seeking to learn more about the state of operational security and cyber operations are set to gather at the AFCEA conference, LandForces East 2012: Cyberspace Operations – Prevent, Shape, Win, to do just that. The MIL Corporation’s (MIL) Executive Vice President, Jim McIntyre, will attend to keep MIL in-the-know on valuable industry information.
The overall theme of TechNet event focuses on the ground component of the Army and Marine Corps in cyber operations. However, the underlying theme will highlight the operational security focus of the DoD and industry networks, as well as cyber operations with joint and coalition partners, to prevent, shape, and win future cyber conflicts.
“At MIL, we are continuously searching for ways to improve our security methods for our customers, especially when it involves an ever-changing field like cyber security,” said McIntyre. “Ensuring that our customers’ information is secure is of the utmost importance– learning from government and industry leaders on this topic is certainly a privilege we are looking forward to.”
The conference host, AFCEA, is an international, non-profit association, which serves the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security. Taking place from August 14- 16, 2012, the event will be located at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Md.
