MIL Earns 2023 Top Workplaces USA Award and Great Place to Work® Certification™
Bowie, Md.—Feb. 16, 2023 – — The MIL Corporation (MIL) is pleased to announce it has earned two workplace awards in the first quarter of 2023. For the third year in-a-row, the mid-sized government contractor has won a spot in the Top Workplaces USA award program, issued by Energage. Additionally, MIL received its certification as a Great Place to Work® for the sixth year in-a-row.
This year, MIL ranked #41 with Top Workplaces USA in its business category (500-999 employees), up from #47 in 2022.
“MIL prides itself on being an organization that not only provides a setting where you can grow and thrive professionally, but also as a place where our team members feel welcome, supported, and celebrated,” said MIL COO Marisa Daley. “Offering benefits and perks like seats in our Capital One suite, professional development and training, formal awards celebrations, and family-oriented events—we take work-life balance seriously. But most importantly, we are so thrilled that our employees continue to vote us into these lists and thank them for taking the time to do so — they really are our greatest asset.”
The Top Workplaces program has a 15-year history of surveying more than 20 million employees and recognizing the top organizations across 60 markets for regional Top Workplaces awards. Over 42,000 organizations were invited to participate in the Top Workplaces USA survey. Winners of the Top Workplaces USA list are chosen based solely on employee feedback.
Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation. This year, 91% of MIL employees said it’s a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
MIL has received the Top Workplaces Award for the Washington, D.C. area six times and the South Carolina award four times. Under the Top Workplaces umbrella, it has received the following Industry and Cultural Excellence Awards: Technology; Appreciation; Compensation; Employee Value Proposition; Employee Well-Being; Empowering Employees; Formal Training; Professional Development; Top managers; and Work Life Flexibility.
In its history with the Great Place to Work® program, MIL has also been awarded the 2022 Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services™(#23); 2021 Fortune Best Workplaces for Millennials™(#62); 2021 Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services™ (#5), 2020 Best Small & Medium Workplaces™ (#75), and 2018 Best Place to Work for Diversity™(#86).
