1. Why did you decide to join MIL?
I joined MIL to be a part of company that offers diverse career opportunities and encourages team members to learn and grow while providing educational resources to enhance personal development.
2. What are you working on now?
Currently, I am working with the PRISM Recertification Team on a contract with the FAA. In my daily functions, I facilitate the management review of user access permissions based on current job functions and privileges. This process relates validation and re-certification of current PRISM user accounts.
3. What is important about your work?
One of the most important aspects of my work is maintaining compliance with users who have access to the FAA’s financial resources. My work ensures that those who have access to the PRISM Procure to Pay System are authorized to utilize the system and have the proper functions available to them.
4. What are the best aspects about your current job?
The best aspect about my current job is the customer service nature of the work. I enjoy a sense of accomplishment when a user has a specific issue that I am able to resolve with little or no inconvenience to the client.
5. Why do you enjoy working at MIL?
I enjoy working at MIL because of the employee centered nature of the company. The company’s attention to personal development, career growth, and employee morale make this a great place to work.
6. What is the most challenging project you’ve worked on at MIL?
The most challenging project that I have undertaken at MIL was creating a business process for adding 6,000 additional users to our already extensive universe of PRISM operators. This process had to include the appropriate allocation to users throughout a specified timeframe while maintaining appropriates levels of operational efficiency.
7. What is the best piece of career advice you can offer someone in your field who is either applying to or beginning a career at MIL?
The best career advice I would offer is to begin looking at your next position now. Where ever you want to go or whatever you want to do in this company, begin working to obtain the skills and education.
