What were you doing before joining MIL?
Prior to joining MIL, I was working in consulting.

Why did you decide to join MIL?
The opportunity to work for a large mission driven company with a small family-oriented environment.

What are you working on now?
Currently, I work on Contract Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR) , Subcontract and Consultant Negotiations, and Purchase Orders.

What is important about your work?
My work is important because it involves ensuring compliance with federal government regulations.

What are the best aspects about your current job?
The multifaceted areas of government contracting affords one the opportunity to learn, develop and remain relative. There is never a dull or boring day in the Subcontracts department.

Why do you enjoy working at MIL?
I enjoy working at MIL for the flexibility, participative management, work-life balance, and teamwork.

What is the most challenging project you’ve worked on at MIL?
The most challenging project I have worked on is MIL’s first Contract Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR) in 2018, fast forward three years I am participating in a system evaluation and review.

What is the best piece of career advice you can offer someone in your field who is either applying to or beginning a career at MIL?
I would advise a new employee to remain flexible and open to change.
