When did you start working at MIL?
<\/strong>I joined MIL in November 2023 as a Grant Analysis, Senior Analyst.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Describe your career path:
<\/strong>Before joining MIL, my career was deeply rooted in financial administration and research management within institutions of higher education. I led financial operations for a growing network of clinics for a school of medicine system, managing multimillion-dollar budgets and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. My earlier roles included positions as a senior analyst, grant accountant, and financial administrator, where I gained extensive experience in sponsored programs, grants management, and financial reporting. Throughout these roles, I built a strong foundation in financial compliance, budget administration, and operational leadership, setting the stage for my transition into federal financial analysis and audit resolution at MIL. As a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA), I bring a high level of expertise in financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and research administration, further strengthening my ability to deliver effective solutions to our federal client.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is one piece of career advice you would give a recent college graduate?<\/strong>
I\u2019ve had the privilege of mentoring college students in my previous roles, and one of the qualities I\u2019ve always admired in them is their hunger for learning. My advice to a recent college graduate is to never stop learning. Earning a degree is just the beginning\u2014education continues beyond the classroom. Learn from your peers, seek guidance from seasoned professionals, engage with professional organizations, and continuously refine your skills. Growth comes from embracing new knowledge and staying curious throughout your career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you love about your current position, and\/or overall career at MIL?<\/strong>\u00a0
I feel truly fortunate to be part of such a special organization like MIL. ‘People Making the Difference’ is not just MIL\u2019s motto \u2014 it\u2019s a guiding principle that is evident in the way the company genuinely cares for and invests in its people. My supervisor is deeply committed to my success, providing a level of support unlike anything I\u2019ve experienced before. Even while working remotely, MIL ensures I stay engaged through professional development opportunities, soliciting my input on ways to enhance the workplace, and keeping me well-informed about company initiatives\u2014especially during uncertain times.
