Years with MIL: 7 months<\/h3>\n

What were you doing before joining MIL?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was working in the private sector in the online education field as a Project Manager\/RPA Business Analyst for Stride Inc. I spent 14 years within the private sector to find process improvements to be one of my passions.\u00a0\u00a0 In the last 4 years of my tenure at Stride, I was able to help improving processes by contributing to the foundation of to their RPA Program and COE.<\/p>\n

Why did you decide to join MIL?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I decided to join MIL because of the innovative and diverse catalog of services they provide.\u00a0 I knew from the day I interviewed for the first time, that MIL was a company with a very welcoming culture, open to new ideas, and lots of learning opportunities in the public sector.<\/p>\n

What are you working on now?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am a Robotic Process Automation, Business Analyst\/ PM leading the implementation of the RPA Program for the DS\/CFO Office.<\/p>\n

What is important about your work?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The use of RPA technology enables people and businesses to focus on adding real value while bots take care of mundane repetitive tasks. I like to think that my work enables them to be more efficient, creative, and hopefully happier by freeing them from boring, manual, and repetitive tasks, therefore alleviating their daily workload.<\/p>\n

What are the best aspects about your current job?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The interaction with different people covering multiple roles. I not only enjoy learning and interacting with others, but I also think that this interaction enables me to learn about the Bureau\u2019s mission, so I can better help them find opportunities where RPA can make them more efficient.<\/p>\n

Why do you enjoy working at MIL?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love MIL\u2019s flexibility, work-life balance, encouragement, and the constant feedback I received from my managers. Their open culture where new ideas are always welcomed is motivating.<\/p>\n

What is the most challenging project you\u2019ve worked on at MIL?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think establishing RPA within the DS\/CFO bureau has been challenging in terms of navigating all the different processes, infrastructure and restrictions that are particular to the public sector.\u00a0 It sure has not been easy, but I have learned a lot through the process.<\/p>\n

What is the best piece of career advice you can offer someone in your field who is either applying to or beginning a career at MIL?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Work hard and be inquisitive.\u00a0 Ask that question without being afraid.\u00a0 The answer you get can help lots of people even if you do not think it will.<\/p>\n

If applicable, please share a memorable\/significant experience that has occurred during your time with MIL.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first couple of RPA introductory meetings with DS\/CFO Office were very exciting. People are often afraid of technology, but it was nice to see their excitement and willingness to contribute.\u00a0 I also remember the Eagles Concert at Capital One Arena.\u00a0 It was my first time to see them live and to be at the Arena.\u00a0 It was a great experience and a very nice way for MIL to motivate their employees.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
