Dependent Care FSA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nFor eligible dependent care expenses, employees can elect up to $5,000 per year if your status is \u201cmarried filing jointly\u201d or \u201csingle head of household\u201d. If your filing status is \u201cmarried filing separately\u201d you may elect up to $2,500 per year.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Commuter Smart Benefits<\/button><\/h2>\n
With the MIL Commuter Benefits Program, paying for your commute can be more cost-effective and convenient. Available to our Washington, DC employees, a Commuter Benefits Account provides tax-exempt funds through a simple paycheck deduction that employees can use to pay for eligible transit and parking services. MIL also contributes an additional $120 per month to help offset those expenses.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Computer Purchase Program<\/button><\/h2>\n
MIL\u2019s Employee Computer Purchase Program benefit is available to all employees who have completed six months of employment to help employees purchase new personal use computers. Through this program, MIL helps to finance a computer\u2019s purchase price by using payroll deductions over 13 biweekly paychecks in equal installments. Once an employee has completed the loan repayment, they must wait another 12 months from that payoff date to use the program again.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Life & Long-Term Disability<\/button><\/h2>\n
MIL provides a $50,000 benefit for Life and AD&D coverage at no cost to our employees as well as Long-Term Disability to assist in case of a long-term injury or illness.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Supplemental Life Insurance<\/button><\/h2>\n
Employees can purchase Supplemental Life Insurance in increments of $10,000, with a minimum of $20,000, and a maximum coverage of $500,000. You may also elect additional AD&D coverage in the amount equal to your Life Insurance Policy. Employees can also purchase Supplemental Life Insurance for their spouse for 50% of their Employee Supplemental Life Insurance policy. Employees also have the choice to elect supplemental life coverage for each child.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Short-Term Disability Insurance<\/button><\/h2>\n
Employees can elect Short-Term Disability Insurance to assist them in cases of injuries or illnesses lasting less that 25 weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Accident Insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nAccident Insurance can pay a set benefit amount based on the type of injury an employee has and the type of treatment needed. It covers both accidents that occur on the job and off the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Critical Illness Insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nIf an employee is diagnosed with an illness that is covered by the insurance, they can receive a lump sum benefit payment that can be used however the employee wants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
