Employee of the Month - December
Diana Gluz has been a member of the Central Travel Agency (CTA) for 8 years. She quickly became an outstanding and knowledgeable asset to the CTA and was a team leader within 4 years. As Senior Manager for the Authorizations Review Team (ART), Diana has been outstanding in her analysis of travel documents in the Defense Travel System (DTS). ART is the first to see the travel documents that are created and Diana is the first to deal with any problems or issues in getting the NAVAIR customer to their travel destination. Diana is truly dedicated to the CTA and the traveling customer. Due to her excellent research and analytical skills, Diana was requested by the CTA Government Representative, Ms. Bonnie Petree, to complete analyses on very complex situation. After the completed analysis, a thank you was received from Ms. Petree which stated, “I'd like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for all the effort that Diana Gluz put into aiding the Travel Office in piecing together a picture of what happened in this most unusual ticketing scenario. This was a situation that the Travel Office has never dealt with before and it is never supposed to happen. Real life, however, doesn't always follow theory or abide by the rules. Ms. Gluz spent a lot of time contacting the various offices/agencies, researching and compiling data and analyzing the findings. The Travel Office feels confident that everything that could be done to arrive at the correct solution was done and the appropriate corrective actions have been put into action. “
Diana has also been involved with analyzing complex issues with travel vouchers, most of which have resulted in finding errors in which the traveler was overpaid. Her analyses have saved the Government dollars and are providing vital information and processes that the CTA Claims Review Team will follow on future travel vouchers.
Diana’s leadership in ensuring all ART personnel are cross trained in vouchers has been vital in the CTA management effort to balance the travel authorization and voucher workload. Diana’s conscientiousness and dedication to succeed through extreme workload is a testament to her management skills and her ability to get the job done. Her knowledge, outstanding leadership skills, impeccable work ethic, and vigilant research and analysis to find and solve travel issues truly make her deserving for the MIL Featured Staff Member of the Month.
Congratulations Diana!! MIL would like to thank Diana for her hard work and dedication.
