Program Management Support using PM Support Tools at Patuxent River

Situation: NAVAIR had encountered issues with tracking and processing of CDRL for PMA 299 contracts. Some contracts had over 1,000 deliverables and there was not a centralized and automated method for tracking.

Action: Corrective action was to develop, implement, and maintain a Web-based workflow tool to automate the CDRL processing for PMA299. Tool provided a collaborative environment in which contractors could submit and the government review, approve and store deliverables.

Result: The Web-based workflow tool for CDRL processing has lead to a Lean Six Sigma event that is being replicated throughout NAVAIR and has expanded to include a Statement of Work (SOW) tool.
