COTS Momentum® Conversion and Implementation

Situation: The Department of State is in the process of converting all of its legacy core accounting systems over to the CGI Federal (formerly AMS) COTS accounting package, Momentum.

Action: MIL provided program management, systems analysis, data conversion/reconciliation, testing services, programming, documentation, training, and user support, both remotely and at State Department sites around the globe. 

Result: MIL was successful in helping the State Department realize a umber of major milestones including a complete conversion of their core overseas financial system to Momentum, a database merge of two large Momentum installations, and more recently, the replacement of the Department’s central accounting system for all overseas and domestic transactions.
