Quality Management System Deployment (ISO-9001)
Situation: The Department of State Global Financial Service Center (GFSC) was challenged to “Do More With Less” and “Do It Better Than Before”. As a result, the Senior Management Team defined the task to develop and deploy a global Quality Management System (QMS) focused on:- Enhancing customer satisfaction through continuous improvement activities
- Establishing and measuring key performance metrics to defined goals
- Driving uniformity and consistency (e.g., quality) across all business operations.
Action: MIL was tasked with developing and deploying the ISO-9001 Standard to align with the GFSC strategic business objectives, A team was assembled to address all elements of the task from program management to documentation.
Result: MIL has successfully deployed the QMS plan in accordance with the ISO-9001 Standard and is entrenched in the continuous improvement mode. The organization plans to seek 3 rd part ISO certification during the 1 st. half of 2008, and will deploy the QMS in its Bangkok and Paris operations by mid-year.
