Leslie Richardson

Junior Help Desk Specialist

Years with MIL: 6

What are you working on now?

As a PRISM Help Desk Analyst, I answer PRISM Help Desk calls, perform research, and provide users with resolutions to their issues. I then summarize those incidents in Remedy, an issue-tracking system. My job requires me to compile daily and weekly reports, which are distributed to the FAA System Administrators and other team members to give them a status of the documents in PRISM.

What is important about your work?

My work is important because I assist FAA users so that they may perform their tasks efficiently and effectively in PRISM. I actively research incidents and resolve client’s PRISM issues and also serve as a backup for the PRISM Recertification Team during the annual PRISM recertification process. Additionally, I keep users informed of their account status by running a dormant report and notifying employees to log-in to the system frequently to maintain access so that they remain active.

Why do you enjoy working at MIL and what advice might you give someone who would like to work here?

I very much enjoy working with my PRISM Help Desk team. As features are often changing, they are always so kind and patient, willing to teach me new skills and functions within the PRISM system. The best aspect of my job is getting to continuously learn new functions of PRISM, as well as the opportunity to be involved in a variety of FAA projects. My best advice piece of advice is to always be willing to learn new assignments or tasks—you never know when it may lead to a new opportunity.
