Welcome!

With the launch of our new website, comes a new endeavor for our company – our blog. This blog will host articles and discussions relating to our business and corporate culture. It is our hope that anyone visiting our website can get a glimpse into the stories behind the services we provide, the industries we are invested in, and our employee endeavors, from new initiatives and successes to MIL CARES events.  It’s important to us to celebrate what sets us apart from other organizations like us – our dedicated people, who truly make the difference.

First things first!

We would like some help naming our blog!  Have a good idea? Email us at info@milcorp.com. Once we have a good group of names, we’ll take a poll to choose a winner. Thank you in advance!

Top 6 MIL Moments of 2016

To ring in the New Year, we thought we’d recap MIL’s top six moments from 2016:

Contract Wins1. A Winning Team.

In 2016, MIL secured seven contracts! Five of these wins were awarded by new federal clients, one of which was in a completely new market for MIL:  FirstNet providing First Responder Network Authority IT services. It was an exciting year as we expanded and grew our services. We appreciate our proposal teams who work tirelessly to move MIL forward in our business operations, as well as our contract employees who prove MIL is the cream of the crop!

2. Keeping our Nation Secure.

We rounded out our growing cyber team by naming Ken Wang as its Sr. Associate Vice President this year. Ken brings 25 years of expert cyber experience, which aids MIL in supporting and protecting Naval platforms and weapon systems. Under his watch, our cyber team develops solutions that reach beyond traditional network security methods and technologies.

3. A Growing Partnership.

Our Salesforce partnership took off this year and ever since, our alliance has provided highly successful outcomes with both federal government and non-profit clients. At ITA, we were the first to integrate pay.gov with Salesforce. Additionally, we launched four high profile federal sites utilizing our new capabilities: selectusa.gov, export.gov, privacyshield.gov, and stopfakes.gov.

4. New Corporate Leadership.

In July, we promoted Executive Vice President Marisa Daley to her new position of COO. Marisa, who boasts 20 years of federal government experience, oversees our business operations and took our re-branding efforts head-on. Under her lead, MIL has been re-energized.

5. Keeping Tradition Alive.

MIL looks forward to its Annual Crab Feast every year in the DC-MD region–but perhaps the jewel of this event is on the field. For the fifth year in a row, the Bowie Service Center and C4ISR Kickball rivalry held strong. A fierce battle year-in and year-out, the current record stands as: BSC: 2 wins, C4ISR: 3 wins — be sure to catch them duking it out this summer!

6. Giving Back

MIL takes pride in giving back to our communities through MIL CARES initiatives, whether it be raising money or sponsoring events to help out. In 2016, we supported DC youth outreach programs; school systems through scholarship programs, a robotics team, and a back-to-school supply drive; community charities through silent auctions, canned food drives, golf tournaments, and Toys for Tots; as well as a local rescue squads, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, United Way, and cancer survivors through Charleston, S.C.’s Annual Dragon Boat Race. We recognize that supporting our community lifts all of us up together– in 2016, we raised and donated thousands of dollars with this in mind.

Our team at MIL is looking forward to a bigger, better, and brighter 2017!
