Experienced federal sales executive to lead organizational market expansion
BOWIE, Md.—Sept. 8, 2015— With its 35th anniversary on the horizon, The MIL Corporation (MIL) has added a new Corporate Business Development (CBD) Team to its ranks. Marisa Daley, an executive with over 20 years of experience in the federal space, will lead the team as executive vice president.
In her new role, Daley will be responsible for establishing MIL’s CBD priorities, which include identifying and pursuing corporate priorities, leading the capture management process, and driving business development communication and outreach.
Daley brings a strong background in selling and delivering management consulting services to federal clients in budget constrained environments stemming from her previous experience at PwC, KPMG, BearingPoint, and Capgemini.
“Marisa is a key asset to MIL, as her extensive experience with Big-Four consulting experience in federal sales will provide a lot of business insight,” said MIL President Maurice I. Long, Jr. “As MIL continues to expand into new markets, her resources and expertise will shed new light on opportunities for our team.”
Prior to joining MIL, Daley served as the president and founder of HPT Advisory Services, an economically disadvantaged woman-owned-small-business (EDWOSB). HPT was founded after her tenure at PwC in Atlanta, Ga., where she led its public sector, predominantly supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Daley also held leadership roles at KPMG and BearingPoint.
“I am eager to apply my experience in leading strategic management consulting teams, as well as the skills I acquired while running my own business here at MIL,” said Daley. “Specifically, I am thrilled about expanding MIL’s client-base and cross-selling its deep expertise across business sectors.”
MIL has grown to an employee base of over 650 and reorganized into six business sectors to fit its population: Cybersecurity; C4 Integrated Systems; Engineering and Technical Services; Financial and Administrative Systems; Global Financial Services; and Information Technology. Daley oversees a newly formed CBD Team focused on pursuing corporate priorities and driving strategic growth.
Daley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University, Maryland and obtained her Program Management Professional certification from the Program Management Institute. She also serves on the board of directors for Spark Ventures, a non-profit organization.
