Organization set to sponsor CRC-CFC 2013 Charity Golf Event
BOWIE, Md.—Nov. 07, 2013— As the season of giving kicks-off, the Charleston, S.C. group of The MIL Corporation (MIL) wouldn’t miss the chance to once again participate in and sponsor the Charleston Regional Center (CRC) – Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) 2013 Charity Golf Event. More than a networking event, this charity golf outing supports several local non-profits, which include: Wounded Warriors, Ronald McDonald House Charities, My Sister’s House, and Lowcountry Food Bank/Backpack Buddies.
MIL has signed on as a title sponsor for charity event, located on Kiawah Island in S.C., for the fourth year in a row.
“This is a great event where we have an opportunity to give back to those in need , while having some fun with our DOS clients and industry partners,” said MIL Vice President, Peg Kendra. “I look forward to the event and the opportunity to represent our charitable giving division, MIL CARES, for another great, local cause.”
MIL CARES (Celebrates, Acknowledges, Responds, Energizes, and Strengthens) is tasked with organizing MIL involvement in community service efforts throughout the year. The collective effort s believes in servicing the communities in which we live and work. Some examples include food drives, coat drives, Toys for Tots, collecting funds for disaster relief efforts, volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, or supporting our soldiers and Veterans.
The CRC CFC Golf Tournament is set to take place on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Turtle Point Golf Course on Kiawah Island in Charleston, S.C. Registration is at 9:30 A.M and tee-off is at 11:00 AM. For more information, visit the event’s Web site here, https://www.charlestonregionalcenter.org/.
